Our story since 1995

Madhatters began with a dream, a bit of courage, and a table in the middle of a mall. Growing up in Ireland, John always knew he wanted to build something of his own. Inspired by the vibrant street markets of London, he was drawn to the energy of selling and connecting with people. After moving to Canada, he took a chance at Scottsdale Centre in Delta, BC. With no business plan experience but a lot of determination and help from supportive friends, John launched a small kiosk filled with affordable, well-chosen products. It sold out completely. That early success led to a permanent storefront and the beginning of what would become a trusted brand. When the 2008 downturn hit, John doubled down on his mission, expanding Madhatters into new malls across BC and Alberta. He focused on providing value when people needed it most, and the stores continued to grow. Today, Madhatters has six locations and remains proudly family-owned. As John begins to pass the torch to his sons, the goal stays the same: to offer trendy, reliable products at prices everyone can afford, with Nice Stuff. Easy Prices. Always.
